ZPrize, a competition to accelerate zero-knowledge cryptography, was launched in April 2022. This contest is offering $7 million in prizes and is currently supported by several tech industry companies including Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Manta Network, Polygon, and CoreWeave – to name a few.
“The ZPrize is an industry-wide effort to accelerate zero-knowledge technology. This effort will be in the form of a competition, in the likeness of the XPrize, or DARPA Grand Challenge. The results of the competition will be open-sourced for the benefit of all.” – ZPrize
The competition aims to:
– Improve baseline performance of Key General Algorithms
– Increase diversity and availability of low-level libraries for Cryptographic Proofs
– Increase awareness of the groundbreaking potential of Zero-Knowledge Crypto
