They promote BCH adoption, because it offers free and instant, non-refundable transactions.
They still support BTC and all of the merchants appearing in the MoveYourBCH app accept BTC payments.
They give the choice to the user, who can decide, which coin he wants to use.
They promote free and affordable software, Android offers very affordable devices starting below 60€, which allows everyone to take part in the Bitcoin system and not only the ones who can afford an iPhone.
Android also offers NFC capabilities which are locked by default on iPhone devices. That means if you want to use Bitcoin with NFC you will have to buy yourself an Android Device that supports NFC (starting at 80€).
