INT. A LARGE LABORATORY – DAY
We see ELON MUSK and THOMAS EDISON sitting at a large table, surrounded by various scientific instruments and gadgets. They are deep in conversation.
ELON (excitedly) Thomas, you are truly a genius! Your inventions have changed the world in ways that are hard to comprehend.
THOMAS (modestly) Thank you, Elon. But I must say, your work is equally impressive. You have revolutionized the way we think about energy, transportation, and space exploration.
ELON (laughing) Oh, come on now. You invented the light bulb, the phonograph, and the motion picture camera! I’ve only built a few electric cars and sent a couple of rockets into space.
THOMAS (shaking his head) You underestimate yourself, my boy. Your work on sustainable energy and space travel will have a far greater impact on humanity than anything I could have imagined.
They continue to argue back and forth, each praising the other’s accomplishments.
ELON (sighs) I suppose we’ll just have to agree to disagree.
THOMAS (nodding) Indeed.
Just then, the door to the lab opens, and a figure enters. It’s NIKOLA TESLA, the famous inventor and scientist.
NIKOLA (smiling) Gentlemen, I couldn’t help but overhear your debate.
ELON (surprised) Nikola! What are you doing here?
NIKOLA (walking over to the table) I came to settle this argument once and for all.
ELON (intrigued) Oh? And who do you think is the greatest inventor of all time?
NIKOLA (looking back and forth between them) Neither of you.
ELON (confused) What do you mean?
NIKOLA (smiling) The greatest inventor of all time is the one who has yet to be born. The one who will take the ideas and inventions of men like you and Thomas and build upon them to create something even greater.
ELON (nodding) I see.
THOMAS (nodding) Yes, yes.
NIKOLA (smiling) So, you see, you’re both right. And you’re both wrong. The true measure of greatness is not in what has been accomplished, but in what is yet to come.
ELON (smiling) I couldn’t have said it better myself.
THOMAS (smiling) Indeed.
The three of them raise their glasses in a toast.
ELON, THOMAS, and NIKOLA (in unison) To the future!
