The Africa Blockchain Youth Ambassadors (ABYA) initiative was created with the mission of promoting blockchain, cryptocurrency and web3 literacy and adoption. Through championing education and setting up mentorship and training programs for university students, ABYA aims to build the next generation of leaders in the blockchain space. So far, the initiative is making significant progress in educating young people about the potential of blockchain technology. In addition to online learning and training, holding hackathons, competitions, workstream engagement, webinars and tutorial sessions, ABYA will also set up a mentorship program to help the youth ambassadors develop networks and access internships in the space for the students. With the help of its ambassadors, ABYA will quickly make blockchain, cryptocurrency and web3 information more accessible to all across Africa.
