Global Blockchain Foundation (GBF) is an Indian non-profit organization which aims to build a sustainable Blockchain community with the help of international affiliations and cooperation. The organization is lead by Rohan Singh and co-founders Pankaj P. Ghode and Praneet Kumar. The overall management team is highly skilled and comprised of numerous regional managers all over the world.
GBF is India’s first Blockchain startup incubator and wants to become a key player in the field of blockchain in the developing world. It has already partnered with renowned organizations such as Fintech Galaxy, Equibit Group and ZPX.
The Global Blockchain Foundation has a total of five initiatives, the World Blockchain Summit, BCT Entrepreneurial Support, BCT Global Governance, BCT Industry Academia Connect and BCT Global Skill Initiative.
Under BCT Entrepreneurial support, GBF wants to support innovation and is determined to help 500+ fresh startups, developers and hardware enthusiasts in Blockchain development. Startup programs include a mentorship program, investor program, incubation program, and startup conclave and knowledge series.
Under the BCT Global Governance initiative, GBF wants to work on regulating Blockchain and especially Crypto economics which will ultimately support modern emerging economies. GBF acknowledges the lack of Blockchain skills in the developing world and wants to use the BCT Global Skill Initiative to train up to 100,000 full stack Blockchain developers.
The foundation is in the process of unifying 50+ leading and emerging markets with the help of Blockchain. To achieve this, it organizes global events including Dubai Blockchain Summit and Singapore Blockchain Summit, 2018. GBF has also planned the Korea Blockchain Summit, ASEAN Blockchain Summit and the biggest of them all, World Blockchain Summit (WBS) in the year 2018.
The agenda of the recent summit held in Dubai focused on Opportunities in Dubai 2020 with a Blockchain Perspective, Redefining Governance in Active Blockchain World and Blockchain Enterprise Adoption and Emerging Tech. The summit consisted of networking dinners, workshops, conferences, investor meets, pitch competitions, Blockathons, entertainment and many other opportunities. The Dubai summit was attended by world known business leaders and government officials.
GBF is now busy organizing the much awaited Korea Blockchain Summit 2018. The 2-day summit is scheduled to take place in Seoul on the 12-13th of June 2018. Some keynote speakers have already been confirmed for the event including, Meet Viktoria Soltesz, Chief Financial Officer, Blackmoon financial group as well as Dr. Francesca Greco, Director and Co-Founder of X8currency.
The Korea summit will be followed by the ASEAN Blockchain Summit 2018 that will take place 3rd and 4th of September in Kulala Lumpur, Malaysia. This mega-event is the biggest of its kind in the region and will see participants attending from as far as Japan, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore and every ASEAN country.
As is evident, the Global Blockchain Foundation has a proven record of developing initiatives that deliver real results.
